Fuu's Notes: maskormenace edition

• I seem to have been abducted to an alternate future Earth by the American government.
  
• They gave me an orientation brochure. I have to say I don't quite believe their story about the Porter machine; it's all rather convenient.
  
• I have been informed that this is an alternate Earth--I'm sure many physicists would be happy to know that their theories are correct. Evidently, the USSR never fell here.
  
• Also informed that there's basically no diplomatic or legal recourse. That's absurd. I could understand if I was taken from an entirely different world, but why would countries be so accepting of this being done to their citizens, even if they ARE from other universes?
  
• It's 2015... Hikaru and Umi must be 35 years old, if they exist in this universe. Of course, if they do, they may be completely different people... I might be a completely different person... goodness.
  
• Neither Hikaru nor Umi (my own) are here. I don't know how the Porter could have missed them. Frankly I would rather have them here; I know they wouldn't want me to be here alone.
  
• My magic spells are now "superpowers," like an American comic book. I also have my sword.

JAIME REYES blue beetle (2006) He said hi twice in a new world when he didn't have to, so Fuu decided to consider him a friend and helped him out a couple times--instant friends breakfast mix. She likes hanging out and joking around with him, but they've had serious moments too. After discovering that he'd kept secret his identity as the Blue Beetle and his powers had overtaken him to the partial destruction of his neighborhood, Fuu decided to share secrets of her own in kind.

ALISON HENDRIX orphan black Not exactly a substitute mom but still a reassuring presence, like the parent of a friend. Housemate.

SAINT WALKER green lantern: the animated series Alien cleric, zen as all get out. Also a curious fellow who's subtle at encouraging people to spill. His nosiness stems from an earnest desire to be helpful to anyone, though, and his capacity for kindness and consideration seems boundless. Fuu considers him one of the most trustworthy people she's met and feels quite comfortable around him (and is trying to be more comfortable around his pets).

L'ARACHEL fire emblem: the sacred stones What are you, L'Arachel? Whatever it is you are AMAZING. Fuu thinks she's amazingly entertaining and plans to egg her on at every opportunity. She's figured out it takes some clever wording to deal with her, which is a fun challenge, but Fuu really has no idea what she's getting into.

KEN AMADA persona 3 He is the age Hikaru looks, very polite, kind of adorable. He invited her along to the DC Cherry Blossom festival just because she knows Jaime, which was a very kind gesture. Also has some kind of guardian-spirit-soul-manifestation Persona called Kala-Nemi.

RINCEWIND discworld A strange, high-strung man with WIZZARD printed on his hat in big letters. Clearly needs someone kind and reassuring in his life, but also too easy to tease, especially when he's creeped out by her smiling. Has a highly dangerous piece of sentient luggage?

AUNT CASS big hero 6 She was very kind after the debacle in Antarctica, not only giving good advice and reassurance but inviting Fuu to call her oba-san, which went a long way towards grounding her. Later, Cass's family was sent home from under her; while Fuu has no idea that there is tragedy involved, she still felt compelled to be of use and began working in the Lucky Cat Cafe.

BARNABY BROOKS JR. tiger & bunny She first met him Antarctica and has spoken to him a few times since then. Mr. Brooks grew up in a world where superpowered individuals are often public figures, work as professional heroes, and are sometimes feared by ordinary humans--a levelheaded adult with this perspective is a valuable thing. He's kind and not condescending, and Fuu likes talking to him.

MALMS VOVOKOSI final fantasy xiv adorable A professional adventurer from an RPG world, but like Cephiro living there is much different from visiting. Fuu is impressed with the depth of his knowledge and the stories he tells of Eorzea are equal parts astonishing, fascinating, and familiar. And okay, he's adorable, but she refuses to acknowledge that out of courtesy.

FLYNN SCIFO tales of vesperia Very much a knight in shining armor from a land like a video game. He seems a bit out of his depth with modern society and things like the imPort fan convention. When imPocreat monsters attacked Philadelphia, Fuu saw him in his element: as a competent and level-headed warrior. (Good thing too, as he got her out of a spot of trouble.)

BIANCA REYES blue beetle (2006) Jaime's mom! Fuu liked her right from the start, and she's very happy for Jaime that Bianca is here. She likes talking to her; it seems pretty clear where Jaime gets his good nature from, but Fuu would like to get to know her for herself.
