Hello! You have reached Fuu Hououji. I may be out, or possibly engaged in a life-or-death struggle. Please leave a message and I will get back to you just as soon as I return... if I do.
[It's a video, but all it's showing is some park. Still hasn't got the hang of this. He should probably be getting on home considering the sun is making the last of its way towards setting, but.
All ain't right in the state of Connie.]
Hey. Are you busy?
Edited (Nvm didn't like that word) 2016-08-31 03:52 (UTC)
Hah. I'm feeling really useless. Would you mind helping me train some more? It can be with the weird ass powers I gained or swords. Though I don't know how I'd do against a sword as big as yours.
[oh no :( DON'T FEEL USELESS CONNIE THAT MAKES HER SAD.]
I'm always happy to spar--truthfully I haven't had much formal training in swordplay, so that would help me as well. [cause when your sword IS bigger than you and... most people... you kind of don't need so much training. but she'd prefer to have it.] You're far from useless.
[It takes quite a bit of time before a reply to this happens. Fuu has been thinking about her birthday, but she didn't think anybody else was. She's stunned and honestly quite touched to get this text. In fact, she reads it a few times just to make sure he means her, but she doesn't know of any other imPorts working for Jules Joel Jefferson's magazine.
Obviously he got the wrong number, and it's quite awkward to reply when you're the person he's asking about, but she can't just ignore it. Also, she can imagine the look on his face and once she does, she can't not provoke that reaction.
Even if she won't actually see it.]
I'm not so familiar with American Christmas traditions. What's usually done when a person has a birthday in December?
[ HO HO HO, AND MERRY CHRISTMAS! Courtesy of beetlemail, Fuu will be receiving: some Japanese cooking gear & sweets as well as, of course, a BIG BAG OF SPINACH. ]
Merry Christmas, Fuu!
You'd better be SO excited about this spinach next time I see you.
[ For Christmas, Fuu will receive a handwoven green necklace with cream and green beading in addition to a small assortment of candles that smell of sweetpea. Slipped inside of her card are pressed flowers, and a note: ]
Dear Fuu,
A happy holiday to you, whatever you celebrate, and an even happier new year. I would like to thank you for your friendship and congratulate you on your kindness, diligence and strength of spirit. They have served you well in the past and I know they will continue serving you well years from now. Be sure never to forget it.
[ Perhaps it's a bit old-fashioned, but the message arrives for Fuu via mockingbird. Sealed closed by a wax mockingbird sigil, the letter is hand-written in careful cursive. ]
Dear, Miss Hououji -
We have not spoken before, but my name is Petyr Baelish. I serve as the ambassador for Maurtia Falls. I write to you on behalf of a project I am working on within my city. Construction has already begun on rebuilding a much larger library, but I wish for this to be more than simply a bigger structure. I hope to inspire education and the spread of knowledge to the natives of Maurtia Falls as well as provide an invaluable resource to new arrivals here. But more than that, I wish to use it to pay homage to the natives who lost their lives within Maurtia Falls due to imPort related tragedies. Their names will be honored within the library itself and donations will be set up to be made to the families.
For this project to succeed, I need your help. If you are able to donate anything at all to the cause, it would be most appreciated -- whether that is books, money, or simply your time. I plan to put programs into place once the library is finished to have imPorts come in and read to the much younger generation. I believe it would be a great way to strengthen the native and imPort bond.
I thank you for your time, and I do hope to hear back from you soon.
Sincerely, Ambassador Petyr Baelish
[ OOC: You can feel free to just respond to this OOCly if she would donate anything or not! ]
[ Merry Christmas! Fuu receives a soft green cardigan - you come here without a wardrobe, after all! - and a painstakingly made Christmas bento box. He learned from the best! ]
Although I don't know Batman-san, I have known Mr. Beetle for some time. I trust him. And I mean that I trust his judgment as well as his good intentions. He's been here for a very long time. [...] He knows what can happen if you go into a situation without first understanding it.
[There is a small box in the mailbox which must have been dropped off in person, since the only identification is a small note which says "Fuu Hououji" on the outside and "merry Christmas" on the inside. The box contains a hand-carved ornament of a bird. It looks a bit hawk-like.]
There is no mistaking Cecelia's voice anywhere, especially not in this video. Even before the proper visuals start up, her voice is apparent, and it is...astonished and annoyed. A few "blinks" of black to put the blur into focus shows a very curious sight indeed:
"Isn't he great?!" cries the red-skinned demon man, his eyes bright and full of a childlike wonder. "I love him already. I'm going to call him...Turin Junior!"
"Haaaaaay," drawls the wall-eyed unicorn, sounding...unnervingly like Tina Belcher.
"This is so stupid," Cecelia mutters.
"This is an ADVENTURE," the tiefling corrects cheerfully, giving Turin Jr. a hug. "Come on, let's go find the others!"
And before Cecelia can properly protest, she is grabbed and the camera is sent shaking while she screeches her protests. Thankfully, the clip is over before the shaky-cam can get too nauseating, all of it ending on a happy unicorn sound and a manchild screaming ADVENTURE!
sleepy belchercorn. This person Turin. Who is some kind of demon by looks but too absurd to be at all frightening. And the one whose eyes she is viewing this scene through... are... Cecelia's? Definitely Cecelia, that's her outrage for sure. Okay. So... Fuu just got one of her friend's memories, essentially, ClickChatted to her.
with that settled, she can feel free to giggle at all of it. Turin and Turin Junior and the ADVENTURE... only when she's got it all out of her system can Fuu knock on Cecelia's door. she doesn't want to leave her uninformed, after all.]
Between November 12th and the 18th, your character will have a range of unusual experiences. Among them, their sacrifice at the Duel of Fates returns to them-- if only for minutes at a time each day.
In addition to other strange moments, your character finds themself dwelling on a specific set of numbers. This might occur in unexpected moments or manifestations. They might merely daydream about these digits, or accidentally sign a signature line with the string, or spontaneously enumerate them out loud during a conversation. And of course, they might realize they just distractedly posted the sequence straight to the network. The numbers are always in the same order.

[ Delivered to Fuu's home on Christmas morning is a small package in green and gold wrapping paper. Within it is a small tin of a custom tea blend that Momo put together, a fruity and floral green tea medley, along with a new mug to drink it in, and a note signed by Momo.

I dunno, what do you think I should get her for her birthday? We talk a lot but I'm not sure what she'll really want
Think it'd be tacky to lump in Christmas and her birthday for one megagift?

I told him I want to protect the people here I care about. That's all I want.
[The 'people' being all two of them right now. Other civilians and innocents too, but herself and Fuu first and foremost.]
